Shakespeare's work
is very important today. Perhaps it is because they all contain fantastic
stories. His characters bloody battles, deaths by poison, huge family fights, problems
between brothers and sisters, problems between parents and children,...
William Shakespeare was born
Stratford-upon-Avon in 1564 and he died in 1616. He wrote 38 plays and 154
sonnets. He went to London with his wife and his three children at 18 years
old. He worked as an actor and writer in the Globe Theatre.
He wrote comedy,
drama and tragedy. Examples of his plays: The Merchant of Venice, Hamlet, As
you like it, Henry V...
This play tells the story of Shylock
who lends money to Antoni. If Antoni don’t returns the money, Shylock will cut
parts of Antoni’s body. Antoni lose his business and all his money but this is
saved by love.
HAMLET
This plays relate the story about
Hamlet. His father was murdered by the actual mother’s husband. Hamlet wants revenge.
It is a comedy about romantic love.
It is a fight of two good brothers and two bad brothers. There are songs,
jokes, etc..
I think this play is more thoughtful
because the king with his wars raises us questions such as: why do men fight?
What are wars? Are they glorious or terrible?
The play that I adore more is Henry V because I hate
the wars and I love to think and contemplate facing a situation. For other side
I think that all that were old are very interesting and good to lock.
